As with all of our reviews, we base them off the 2BW standard.
Is it easy to use, is the outcome you desire to achieve attainable through the software, is it fairly priced, and is there community support.
We love elementor and think its hands down the best page builder available on the market today. Let’s dive into this Elementor review and dissect the details.
What is Elementor?
Elementor is a free page builder designed to work on the WordPress framework. There is Elementor and Elementor Pro.
The Elementor Pro is the paid version of the software which we’ll cover in full detail later on in this article.
If you want to create a website with a drag and drop website builder in the quickest and easiest way possible, then Elementor may be the right choice for you.
The fact that the software is designed for the worlds largest and most trusted content management system (WordPress) is also a huge bonus.
Elementor Pros & Cons
If you’re new to 2buildawebsite, you’ll know that we absolutely despise manually coding to build websites.
While we understand code is necessary to get some tweaks or cool features, it’s not something we’re entirely thrilled about.
We want something simple, straight to the point, a few clicks, and our website looks good. Thankfully, Elementor offers just that.
You’ve got a versatile drag and drop editor, mobile responsive editing, great widgets, professional looking templates, and full website templates.
It’s eCommerce friendly, you can build sweet pop-ups, and the customers service is great.
Elementor also offers regular updates on their software and they have a thriving Facebook community.
So if you run into any issues, have customization questions, or just general questions you can’t get answered elsewhere, the community is usually there to help.

As far as the con’s, there really aren’t that many. Sure their software on one of their recent updates bugged a bit but the elementor team was on it and handled the issue in a timely manner.
New editors also take time to learn like anything new but with the amount of YouTube tutorial videos out there teaching you how to build your site with elementor, we’re sure navigating your way around the web builder will be a piece of cake.
Now the default widget library that comes with elementor isn’t the greatest. Elementor did this on purpose to have people upgrade to the paid plan of elementor for pro widgets.
Even then, you may find that you still want some extra customizations, in which case you’ll have to purchase some third-party elementor addon’s or you could even download some free plugins for elementor in the WordPress plugin market.
Is Elementor Easy to Use?
Whether you’re familiar with WordPress or not, the most complicated thing you’ll run into with elementor is the installation process and maybe playing with the different types of canvasas.
There are some simple tutorials you can reference on how to install and begin editing, but overall: yes, elementor is easy to use.
Elementor actually has an easy to follow installation tutorial that you can find here (link to youtube video).
There are over 200+ templates to choose from so even if you aren’t a web designer, you can just plug and play with your current brand or business logo’s and information. Change a few colors and your site will be up and running.
Sometimes the creative juices start flowing once you get into the features of Elementor. As it is a drag and drop page builder, moving blocks around makes designing your website fairly easy.
Elementor caters to this itch you may have and offers all of the essential building blocks to create a website.

Thankfully with Elementor you can plug-in one of their pre-made templates and take the guesswork out of designing your website from scratch.
Or, if you really want a cheat code, head over to Envato and check out their Elementor template kits (insert envator affiliate link). There’s a lot of great templates that are unique from what Elementor offers.
Is Elementor Good for SEO?
Elementor is SEO friendly and then some because it’s built on top of the WordPress CMS. Elementor itself is a web design tool that works when used with a WordPress theme.
As mentioned above, we believe Hello is the best WordPress theme to pair with elementor when creating your website.
Since you would be creating your site on top of WordPress, the SEO is all pretty much the same.
The two most popular plugin’s for optimizing your website for the search engines, are of course:
- RankMath
- Yoast
The Yoast integration isn’t the best with Elementor, so it seems as though the community has taken more to RankMath for their SEO needs.
RankMath gives you a sweet SEO option when live editing a page within Elementor and even gives you an SEO block on the right hand side of your WordPress editor when writing a post.

Elementor currently offers two options. You have elementor and elementor pro. Below you’ll see all of the features of each option and what they include.
Of course with any software, the paid version is always going to have more features, just like a more expensive car will have more bells and whistles.
So which option should you go with?
Well with anything, if you can try it out for free to see if you like it, that’s always a great choice.
Take it for a “test drive” the same way you would when shopping for cars.
If you want to create a bare bones website with the most basic features, the free version of elementor will allow you to do that.
You can also probably get by learning from YouTube tutorials.
Here are the basic elements that come standard with the free version
Elementor Pro on the other hand offers you all of the bells and whistles and support along with regular updates.
This would be a better option if you want more customization options or run multiple websites either for yourself or for clients.

Lottie Animations Widget
One of the coolest features of elementor pro is the lottie widget.
Simply put, lottie widget gives you direct access to thousands of free animations that you can easily embed into your website to bring it to life from LottieFiles.
LottieFiles is a marketplace of mostly free animations to give your website or web applications an interactive design.
Below you can see an example of the elementor logo animation in full effect.
You may have noticed a Lottie animation on the 2BuildaWebsite home page as well. Pretty cool, right?
Lotti animations makes building a website with Elementor that much more exciting and can definitely be a separator when creating a beautiful user experience for your visitors.

Elementor Addons For More Customization
Elementor has become so popular among web designers across the world that developers have created their own addon’s that integrate seamlessly with Elementor page builder.
While you can certainly create a great website with Elementor Pro, you may find that you run into a few hiccups that a simple add-on would fix.
This is where third-party elementor addon’s come into play.
There are both free and paid addon’s that integrate seamlessly with elementor. Here are a few of our favorites:
- The Plus Addons for Elementor: We really love this plugin because of their outstanding customer support, the amount of widgets you get, how easy they are to use, and how much more creative you can get with your web designs at their affordable prices.
- Essential Addons for Elementor: Another great plugin offering a vast amount of widgets to use to spruce up your Elementor website. Integration is easy and prices are fair.
